Artist Showcase: Alec Figura

Alec Figura is a fine artist based in Silver Spring, Maryland, currently in his junior year of the painting program at the renowned Rhode Island School of Design. His artistic practice encompasses a diverse range of subjects, from floral compositions and cityscapes to figures immersed in natural settings.

Figura’s work explores the use of inventive color palettes as well as innovative glazing techniques, with a particular emphasis on the skillful rendering of light. Through his canvases, he invites viewers to experience the interplay of reality and artistic expression, showcasing his unique vision.
